TEN MONTHS OUT

How/where did you get engaged?

We got engaged in Orlando, Florida on September 3, 2018.

What are you most excited about for your wedding day?

We are most excited about planning the ceremony. We are looking forward to being surrounded by our family and friends and just share the day with them.

What aspect are you excited to plan the most?

We are really looking forward to planning how the ceremony will come together. We picked The Highland Manor because of the outdoor ceremony space under the tree, so thinking about how that comes together and how we decorate it, is top of our list.

FOUR MONTHS OUT

How do you feel the planning is going?

The planning has been fun. Yes, there are many things to think about and make decisions on, but it’s been far more fun to do together than we expected.

What have you found to be more difficult than you expected?

The guest list became a nightmare to figure out as we have family members, we invited that our out of the country that are either on travel restrictions or lockdowns. Plus, once they arrive here, there is a stress to whether anything happens while they are here.

What has been more fun about the process than you expected?

We have created a countdown to our special day and that just adds an extra special meaning to everyday leading up to it, and it was not something we had thought about doing before.

WEDDING DAY

What was the best, most memorable part of your big day?

I have to say it was how genuinely happy everyone was at the wedding. The Highland Manor and our Dubsdread Catering coordinator, David Osmola, did an excellent job caring for us and for our guests.

If you could change one or two things about your event, what would they be?

When all was said and done, I would have not changed a thing as our day turned out perfect.

Is there any advice you would give other couples planning their event that you wish someone had told you?

Doing a lot of research, even for minor things, made everything work better. After that, the best advice is to have lots of fun on your special day because everything happens so fast. Sit back relax, Dubsdread Catering has your back.
