TWO MONTHS OUT FROM WEDDING DAY
How/where did you get engaged?
Daniel surprised me with a beautiful picnic by Hippie Teepee Picnic then walked me over to a gazebo where the ring and balloons with the words “Marry Me?” were waiting.
What are you most excited about for your wedding day?
Daniel: I am most excited to see Tatyana happy and smiling.
Tatyana: I’m most excited to make my big entrance and see Daniel’s face when he sees me in my dress for the first time.
What aspect are you excited to plan the most? (ceremony, food & beverages, photographer, DJ)
We LOVE brunch! So, we were so happy that Dubsdread Catering has such extensive Brunch food and beverage options for events. It made planning our menus so much fun and added another level of enjoyment to our special day.
ONE MONTH OUT FROM WEDDING DAY
How do you feel the planning is going?
Tatyana: The planning has been going relatively smooth. We have less than two-months from our engagement, to pull this all together, but everything has come together nicely and in time!
What have you found to be more difficult than you expected?
Daniel: The most difficult part has been the guest list. Due to the pandemic we decided to have a much smaller celebration than we normally would have had and it’s been hard to keep it as small as possible.
What has been more fun about the process than you expected?
Tatyana: For me, I’ve had a lot of fun working on DIY projects for my decorations. It’s really awesome to be able to put my own touch on everything and exciting to see my vision come together.
WEDDING DAY
What was the best, most memorable part of your big day?
Tatyana: The best part for me was walking down the aisle and seeing Daniel. I was extremely nervous the whole morning and from the moment I finally saw him I was calm.
If you could change one or two things about your event, what would they be?
Tatyana: I underestimated just how uncomfortable my ballgown dress was going to be. I loved the look, but I was very frustrated with it until I changed. Thankfully, I had a second dress! We also underestimated how long the pictures would take and had to change our whole timeline last minute.
Is there any advice you would give other couples planning their event that you wish someone had told you?
Tatyana: With a Brunch timeline, everything was just a bit shorter than normal, but it was super nice in many ways! I loved started earlier and being done by 3 p.m. However, it makes it so you need to be prepared to do things on a shorter timeline.
Daniel: Prioritize what is most important to you and make sure that doesn’t get scratched if the timeline changes throughout the day. If you know what your top priorities are and what isn’t as important, it lessens the stress when time becomes an issue.
